Clunes Coronation Hall is a beautiful, character-filled venue nestled in the historic village of Clunes, just 12 minutes from Bangalow and 30 minutes from Byron Bay. Steeped in over 110 years of local history, the Hall is a much-loved space run by the community, for the community.

Whether you're planning a wedding, workshop, birthday parties (over 25) , fundraiser, market, performance, or family celebrations โ€“ the Hall offers a charming and versatile blank canvas that you can truly make your own.

Hall Hire Information

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Whatโ€™s Included

  • Use of the main hall space with timber floors and high ceilings

  • Access to a large kitchen with oven, cooktop, fridge/freezer, stainless steel benches and sinks

  • Use of tables and chairs (quantities available on request)

  • Use of stage.

  • Access to toilets, including accessible toilet

  • Entry foyer and small meeting room

  • Use of fans and heating

  • Wheelchair accessible entry

Please note: The Hall is a DIY venue. All events must be managed by the hirer. A Hall host can be arranged to assist on request (fees may apply).

๐Ÿ•š Event Timing & Curfew

  • Curfew: 11:00 PM

    • All music must stop by 11pm sharp.

    • All guests must leave the Hall and surrounding area quietly and respectfully.

    • Pack-down and clean-up must be completed by midnight unless otherwise arranged.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ Capacity

  • Standing (e.g. markets, concerts, parties): Up to 290 people

  • Seated (e.g. weddings, performances): Up to 150 people

๐Ÿฅ‚ Alcohol & Licensing

  • If you are selling alcohol or charging entry to an event where alcohol is served, you must obtain a Limited Licence (Single Function) from Liquor & Gaming NSW.

  • If you are providing alcohol free of charge (e.g. BYO or complimentary drinks at a private event), no licence is required โ€“ but the use of people who are able to offer responsible service guidance is expected.

The hirer is responsible for obtaining all necessary approvals and ensuring compliance with NSW liquor laws. Please allow at least 30 days for licence processing.

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Catering

  • The Hallโ€™s commercial kitchen is available for use, ideal for catering or food prep.

  • Limited crockery and cutlery is availableโ€“ hirers are encouraged to bring their own.

  • External caterers welcome.

  • Food trucks and outdoor setups also permitted (space pending).

๐ŸŽถ Music & Entertainment

  • Live music and DJs are welcome.

  • Please bring your own sound equipment.

  • Music volume must comply with community standards and must cease by 11pm.

๐Ÿš— Parking

  • On-street parking is available in front of the Hall and nearby side streets.

  • Please do not block driveways or park on private property.

  • We ask all guests to arrive and leave quietly out of respect for our neighbours.

๐Ÿงผ Cleaning & Waste

  • The Hall must be returned clean and tidy.

  • Hirers are responsible for:

    • Cleaning floors, kitchen surfaces, toilets.

    • Taking all rubbish and recycling with them (no bin service provided).

    • Cleaning toilets and outside from rubbish

  • A cleaning fee may apply if the Hall is not left in suitable condition.

๐Ÿ“ Insurance & Responsibility

  • Community hirers should ensure appropriate public liability insurance.

  • Commercial hirers (e.g. markets, events open to the public) must provide a copy of their insurance certificate.

  • The Hall Committee takes no responsibility for damage, theft, or injury resulting from hire activities

  • We may require copies of public liability of any contractors and or suppliers at the time of signing the Hall Hire Agreement
